TEHRAN: Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani has made strong statements regarding the intentions of the United States and Israel, claiming that they are trying to tear apart the Islamic Republic.<\/strong><\/p>\n In a recent pre-recorded interview aired on state television, Larijani said, \u201cTheir goal was the fundamental disintegration of Iran.\u201d He described the situation as serious, especially after the US and Israel carried out strikes on February 28 that resulted in the death of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, leading to a significant escalation in conflict in the region.<\/p>\n In response, Iran launched drone and missile strikes targeting both Israel and American interests throughout the Middle East.<\/p>\n Larijani raised concerns about the US strategy in the region, suggesting they are trying to replicate their actions in Venezuela, where interim president Delcy Rodriguez was seen as cooperating with Washington following the ousting of Nicolas Maduro. \u201cThe Americans don’t grasp the complexities of West Asia, particularly in Iran,\u201d he noted. \u201cThey thought it would be as simple as in Venezuela\u2014attack, take control, and it’s done\u2014but now they find themselves in a difficult situation.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, Larijani warned against stirring unrest among Iranian Kurds, referring to US President Donald Trump’s support for a Kurdish offensive within Iran.
