Fans are also looking forward to the high-stakes Kolkata derby, where they will face East Bengal on May 3. This information comes from the provisional schedule released by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).<\/p>\n On Monday, the AIFF shared this preliminary schedule, which serves as a guide for potential broadcasters interested in the league\u2019s media rights.<\/p>\n The AIFF emphasized that the dates are not set in stone and may change based on club feedback before a final contract is signed. They added that this schedule is mainly for informational purposes for interested bidders.<\/p>\n The upcoming season will kick off on February 14 and is expected to wrap up with the final round scheduled for around May 17. This year, 91 matches will take place in a home-and-away format. The shortened season was the result of extensive discussions involving the AIFF, participating clubs, and the sports ministry.<\/p>\n According to the preliminary schedule, teams will have double headers on Saturday and Sunday, with just one Sunday not featuring this format. The exciting Kolkata derby will be highlighted during Round 11 at Salt Lake Stadium.<\/p>\n During weekdays, teams will mostly play one match each.
