President Trump recently shared a so-called \u201cGreat Healthcare Plan.\u201d However, it\u2019s more of a political document than an actionable plan. His 825-word \u201cfact sheet\u201d seems designed for the upcoming midterm elections, especially with rising health care premiums affecting Americans.<\/p>\n

This plan won\u2019t change Medicare or Medicaid or rework job-related health insurance. It doesn\u2019t aim to overturn the Affordable Care Act either. Interestingly, many in Congress, including some Republicans, have already dismissed parts of it, such as proposed policies on drug pricing.<\/p>\n

Hospitals at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference<\/em><\/h3>\n

The recent J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference saw a shift in tone from hospital executives. Instead of boasting about market gains, many emphasized stability and consistency. Ascension highlighted its \u201cstable operating performance,\u201d while AdventHealth declared that consistency is key.<\/p>\n

Even during casual discussions at a yacht club event, many leaders didn\u2019t challenge controversial points made by CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz, such as his remarks about Medicaid funding cuts.<\/p>\n
