Officials reported the tragedy on Tuesday.<\/p>\n Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Gomti Zone, Akash Patel, shared that the police were alerted on Monday about the children’s deaths in the Kardhana area. Emergency teams quickly arrived to investigate the situation.<\/p>\n Initial findings indicate that the children were playing together on Sunday when three of them accidentally ate fruit from the ‘kaner’ plant, known to be poisonous. Following this, their health worsened rapidly. Two of the children tragically passed away that same day, and their families held funerals without notifying the authorities. The third child succumbed to the effects on Monday while receiving treatment at the Banaras Hindu University hospital.
