The sequel to Vijay Deverakonda\u2019s 2025 spy thriller Kingdom<\/em> has officially been canceled, as confirmed by producer Naga Vamsi in a recent interview. This decision follows the film’s underwhelming performance at the box office, quashing any hopes for further installments in the series.<\/p>\n Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom<\/em> features Deverakonda in the role of Suri, a policeman who transforms into a spy. The film, which was released in July 2025, was initially designed to pave the way for sequels. Unfortunately, despite its initial promise, it did not perform well financially.<\/p>\n When asked about the intentions for a sequel, Vamsi stated firmly that Kingdom 2<\/em> is not happening. “No, we are not making it anymore,” he said, explaining that discussing the previous film’s performance would not serve any purpose and might upset the director, Gowtam.
