This century comes shortly after Jagadeesan received his first Test call-up for the fifth match against England at the Oval, filling in for Rishabh Pant, who suffered a toe injury. Unfortunately, he didn\u2019t get to play as Dhruv Jurel was already named the second-choice wicketkeeper.<\/p>\n
Jagadeesan had fantastic support from his opening partner, Tanmay Agarwal, as the two formed a solid 103-run partnership for the first wicket. He later teamed up with Devdutt Padikkal to add an impressive 128 runs for the second wicket, putting his team firmly in control.<\/p>\n
Over his career, Jagadeesan has made a mark with 3,521 runs from 52 first-class matches, boasting an average of 49.59, including 10 centuries and 14 half-centuries. Recently, he played in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025 for the Chepauk Super Gillies, scoring 180 runs in seven innings, with a top score of 81.<\/p>\n
Moreover, he had a successful Ranji Trophy season for Tamil Nadu in 2024-25, tallying 674 runs in 13 innings at an average of 56.16, which included two centuries and five fifties.<\/p>\n
In the other semi-final match, West Zone ended the day at 363\/6, highlighted by a remarkable century from Ruturaj Gaikwad, who made 184 runs off 206 balls with 25 fours and a six. He was supported by Tanush Kotian, who remained not out on 65, along with captain Shardul Thakur, who contributed 24 runs.<\/p>\n
