A model and former Miss Universe contestant from Russia, Kseniya Alexandrova, tragically passed away due to injuries from an accident involving an elk. The incident took place on July 5 while she was traveling with her husband in Tver Oblast, Russia. Reports indicate that she suffered severe brain injuries and remained in a coma until her death on August 12.<\/p>\n
The couple was driving home from Rzhev when the elk collided with their Porsche Panamera on the M-9 highway. Her husband stated that there was little time to react, as the animal jumped in front of their vehicle unexpectedly, despite them both wearing seatbelts and driving at a cautious speed. <\/p>\n
In a heartfelt statement, he recalled the moment of impact: “From the moment it jumped out to the impact, a split second passed. I didn\u2019t have time to do anything.” Alexandrova, seated in the passenger side, suffered a devastating head injury when the elk crashed through the windshield. Her husband described the scene as horrifying, with significant injuries to her skull.<\/p>\n
The couple had only been married for four months, and Alexandrova was also known for her work as a psychologist, holding a degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University. She represented Russia in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant, finishing as a finalist in the Miss Russia competition that year.<\/p>\n
Following her passing, her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, expressed their sorrow in a statement on social media. They remembered her as a bright and talented individual who inspired those around her: “For us, she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”
