Kirsten Celebrates India’s Strong Performance in England<\/strong><\/p>\n Former South Africa cricketer and India\u2019s head coach, Gary Kirsten, is thrilled with Gautam Gambhir for leading the Indian team to a drawn series in England. While he may not be a great batsman, his effort helped us secure a thrilling win,\u201d Kirsten reflected.<\/p>\n In that match, as India chased a target of 216, they found themselves at a precarious 124\/8 when Ishant partnered with VVS Laxman at the crease. With a crucial 81-run partnership, Ishant scored 31 runs, a record high for him until he later achieved his first half-century in 2019 against the West Indies.
