This secretive unit is said to operate from a distinct area within Meta’s Menlo Park headquarters, away from the company’s existing AI projects.<\/p>\n
Zuckerberg has been personally welcoming new team members who have recently joined. This lab is believed to be guided by Alexandr Wang, the former CEO of Scale AI, and Nat Friedman, who previously led GitHub. However, the lack of transparency surrounding the lab’s goals and budget has caused concern among investors and insiders alike, especially as Meta is poised to report its slowest profit growth in two years.<\/p>\n
