Given Trump’s track record, it’s too soon to see this as a good sign for the markets."<\/p>\n Compounding these worries, Iran has threatened to attack U.S. bases in the Middle East if nuclear negotiations falter. Analysts believe that tensions in this region could lead to higher Brent crude prices, which would negatively affect India.<\/p>\n The IT sector, a significant contributor to India’s economy, fell by 1%. Many Indian IT firms derive a large portion of their earnings from the U.S. market.<\/p>\n In individual stock movements, Paytm saw a sharp decline of 8.4% after the Indian finance ministry denied rumors about introducing merchant discount rates on UPI transactions.
