These elections will be the first since a major uprising led to the removal of the previous government.<\/p>\n Since the student-led protest that ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in August 2024, Bangladesh, a nation of around 170 million, has been grappling with political instability. <\/p>\n While speaking at the Chatham House think tank in London, the 84-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner emphasized, \u201cThere is no way\u201d he wants to continue in a political role. Yunus stated that none of his cabinet members share that ambition either.<\/p>\n During his address, Yunus mentioned he plans to introduce a significant set of reforms termed the \u201cJuly Charter\u201d.
