Bolton also advocated for increased diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in Kashmir, recognizing it as a persistent issue straining relations between India and Pakistan, both of which are nuclear-armed nations. He identified two main areas for diplomatic pressure on Pakistan: First, urging Pakistan to control its territory to prevent terrorist attacks; second, raising concern about Pakistan’s growing ties with China.
