Kashvee Gautam Has a Fan Moment with Hardik Pandya
Kashvee Gautam recently had an exciting experience when she met Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya after her team, the Gujarat Giants, was knocked out of the WPL 2025 tournament. This memorable encounter took place on March 13, following the Giants’ loss to the Mumbai Indians, who are the defending champions.
During the match, both Hardik and Kieron Pollard, the batting coach for the Mumbai Indians, were present at the Brabourne Stadium. After the game, Kashvee had the chance to meet Hardik, thanks to her teammate Harleen Deol’s introduction. As she approached Hardik, she greeted him with a polite "Hi, Sir," to which he cheerfully replied, "Hello."
Kashvee couldn’t contain her excitement and told Hardik, “Big fan, Sir!” To this, Hardik responded with a smile, saying, "Thank you," and asked her, "Sab badhiya?" (Is everything good?). Kashvee answered enthusiastically, “Jee haan, bahut badhiya.” (Yes, very good.) Hardik then inquired how her season had gone, and she replied, “Bahut accha tha.” (It was very good.)
During the conversation, Harleen chimed in, telling Hardik, “Ye bahut badi fan hain aapki, aapko imitate karti rehti hain.” (She’s a really big fan and often imitates you.) Hardik then asked Kashvee if she, too, was an all-rounder and if she batted. She proudly said, “Haan, batting bhi karti hoon, HP33 likhwaya hai bat pe.” (Yes, I also bat, and I have HP33 written on my bat.)
Curious about her equipment, Hardik asked about her bat, to which Kashvee responded, “1100.” After hearing this, Hardik promised, “Main shred karke bhejta hoon.” (I’ll send it after shredding the bat.)
Kashvee Gautam’s Rising Star
In the 2024 WPL auction, Kashvee made headlines when the Giants signed her for a stunning Rs 2 crore, making her the most expensive player in the tournament’s history. Unfortunately, she had to sit out that season due to an injury. However, the Giants stood by her, retaining her for the 2025 season, and she succeeded in making an impact.
The 21-year-old excelled as the team’s leading wicket-taker, securing 11 wickets in just nine matches with an impressive economy rate of 6.45, the best among her teammates. She also played crucial innings with the bat for the Gujarat Giants.
Kashvee’s teammate, Phoebe Litchfield, praised her skills, saying, “She’s awesome. It’s like having a piece of home when you’re batting with her. She remains calm and collected, can turn games around with her batting, and her bowling and captaincy skills are invaluable to the team. We truly appreciate having her with us.”
This fan moment with Hardik Pandya will surely be a cherished memory for Kashvee as she continues to shine in her cricketing career.
