HONOLULU – Senator Brian Schatz is among a group of ten U.S. senators advocating for continuous health warning services to keep Americans informed.
This appeal comes in light of reports indicating that the Trump Administration has halted essential communications from federal health agencies, which include critical alerts about disease outbreaks and food safety issues.
Schatz emphasized the importance of having access to timely and accurate information. “People have a right to know about serious disease outbreaks or any contamination in their food. This should not be a contentious issue or tied to politics. It’s about ensuring the health and safety of our communities,” he stated.
