Argentina players rushed in to calm the situation, with defender Nicolas Otamendi stepping in to protect his teammate.
Reports suggest that Bellingham was upset by Barco’s celebration during Argentina’s equalizer, which he found disrespectful toward the England squad. Referee Ismail Elfath acted swiftly to diffuse the tension, making sure to separate Barco from the England players. Fortunately, Barco did not face any additional penalties.
This incident added to what was already an emotionally charged match for Bellingham, who had been involved in multiple confrontations throughout the game, including a notable exchange with Lionel Messi.

Bellingham might face further repercussions if FIFA decides to investigate the incident. The organization is known for taking strict actions against players who display violent behavior both during and after the game.
