The tragic death of television actress Sanchita Ugale has left the entertainment community in shock. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) is now advocating for a thorough investigation into the circumstances of her passing.

Sanchita, recognized for her roles in popular shows such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, passed away at her home in Nalasopara East, Maharashtra, on June 14. She was found unresponsive in Sai Santoshi Building in Aachole Village and was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Following this heartbreaking news, AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to initiate a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the actress’s death. The association voiced concerns about the unexplained circumstances that often surround high-profile cases in the entertainment sector, emphasizing the need for clarity in this situation.

Expressing deep sorrow over the loss, AICWA highlighted Sanchita’s contributions to the industry. Alongside her television work, she had also participated in films such as Silence: The Night Owl Bar Shootout and Chhaava. The association mentioned a social media post shared by Sanchita shortly before her tragic passing and urged investigators to consider all available evidence.

In addition to the investigation, AICWA has called for the Maharashtra government to form a committee to address the rising number of deaths and mental health issues affecting those in the entertainment field. They stressed the importance of reviewing the support systems currently in place for artists and workers.

The organization has extended its condolences to Sanchita’s family, pledging to support them in their quest for answers. Meanwhile, police investigations are underway, as a complaint was filed by Sanchita’s father, leading to an Accidental Death Report (ADR) being registered by the Achole Police. Legal processes, including a post-mortem examination, are also being carried out.

Sanchita Ugale is mourned by her colleagues and fans alike, remembered as a talented young actress whose career was on the rise.
