Global Leaders Praise Modi as India’s Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has garnered congratulations from numerous world leaders after reaching the milestone of being India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. This achievement has been warmly acknowledged by leaders from countries such as Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, and Trinidad and Tobago, who have praised his impactful governance.
In a heartfelt letter, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his best wishes on behalf of the Sri Lankan government and people. He pointed out that this landmark reflects not only Modi’s lengthy tenure but also the trust the citizens of the world’s largest democracy have in him.
James Marape, Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, shared his admiration through a personal video message, calling Modi a “role model” and highlighting his success in lifting over 200 million people out of poverty, which he described as an incredible achievement.
Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, also extended her congratulations, noting that under Modi’s leadership, India has become a significant player on global issues.
