India to Host Textile Horizons 2026 Conference
The India ITME Society has officially announced the upcoming Textile Horizons 2026, a two-day international conference scheduled for December 5-6, 2026. This event will take place at the India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML) in Greater Noida and will occur alongside India ITME 2026, the nation’s premier textile machinery exhibition set for December 4-9.
Textile Horizons 2026 is set to be an important platform for exchanging ideas on the future of textile manufacturing. While the accompanying exhibition will focus on business deals and machinery displays, the conference will delve into key topics such as technological advancements, efficiency, and sustainability challenges within the industry.
This announcement comes as India’s textile sector is experiencing significant changes, driven by government initiatives like the ₹44,450 crore (approximately $5.4 billion) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) scheme and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program. These initiatives are designed to boost investment in manufacturing and man-made fibers. Furthermore, increasing sustainability norms, including zero liquid discharge compliance, are prompting a reevaluation of operational standards within the industry.
Textile Horizons 2026 will revolve around two main themes: Technology & Efficiency and Sustainability & Circular Economy. Sessions will cover various modern topics, including smart manufacturing, AI and IoT, robotics in production, energy efficiency, circular design, and compliance frameworks. Attendees can expect a mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions, technology showcases, and real-world case studies.
Dr. Seema Srivastava, Executive Director of the India ITME Society, expressed the importance of this conference, stating, “The conference enhances the overall value proposition of India ITME by creating a structured forum for sharing knowledge alongside the exhibition. It aligns with our goal of modernizing the industry and encouraging engagement across the textile supply chain.”
Participants will include a diverse group of stakeholders such as textile and garment manufacturers, technology providers, fiber and yarn producers, brands, retailers, researchers, policymakers, sustainability experts, and investors. The event is aimed at leaders and decision-makers like owners, managing directors, plant heads, and sourcing directors.
The speaker lineup will feature esteemed leaders from the global textile industry, innovative technology experts, sustainability professionals, brand sourcing heads, and senior policymakers.
Additionally, Textile Horizons 2026 will be accompanied by established India ITME activities, including the CEO Conclave and India ITME Technical Awards, as well as networking events and B2B meetings on the exhibition floor.
Entry to the conference will be free for those who register as visitors for India ITME 2026. There are currently various sponsorship opportunities available for interested parties.
This conference promises to be a critical event for shaping the future of the textile industry in India, fostering collaboration and innovation throughout the sector.
