Vijay Mallya Celebrates RCB’s Dominant Win Over MI
Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) owner, Vijay Mallya, expressed his excitement after RCB’s convincing victory against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. He took to social media to celebrate the team’s performance, referring to them as “RCB namma Simhagalu,” or “the lions of Bengaluru,” highlighting their fierce display with both bat and ball.
This message quickly resonated with fans, many of whom still remember Mallya’s connection to RCB from their early years.
In their latest match, RCB showcased a strong performance from the very start. Phil Salt ignited the innings with an aggressive approach during the powerplay, while Virat Kohli supported him well, scoring a solid half-century that brought stability to the innings.
Rajat Patidar also made a significant impact with his brisk runs, helping RCB finish at a commendable total of 240, putting immense pressure on MI right from the start of their chase.
On the bowling front, RCB maintained their grip on the game, particularly in the middle overs. Suyash Sharma was pivotal in breaking partnerships by taking important wickets, which prevented Mumbai from gaining any real momentum.
Krunal Pandya contributed by keeping the scoring in check, while the rest of the bowlers delivered disciplined performances. Although Sherfane Rutherford had a late surge for MI, RCB’s dominance throughout the match ensured that the fans never doubted the outcome.
Ultimately, RCB’s impressive all-round display not only secured a convincing win but also made a bold statement in the ongoing season.
