Ayushmann Khurrana Prepares for Upcoming Family Film
Ayushmann Khurrana is all set for the release of his new film, Thamma, which will hit theaters this Diwali on October 21. Following this, the talented actor will dive into shooting a yet-to-be-titled family film directed by Sooraj Barjatya. This project will be produced by Rajshri Productions alongside Mahaveer Jain Films.
Sources have shared that just ten days after Thamma‘s release, filming will commence on November 1. Known for their heartfelt stories, Sooraj Barjatya’s films often resonate with family audiences, and this upcoming romantic family entertainer will be no exception. Besides Ayushmann, the movie will also feature actress Sharvari.
This collaboration between Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films marks their reunion after Uunchai (2022), which was well-received. The two parties enjoyed working together and decided to team up once again for this new endeavor.
Additionally, Mahaveer Jain is looking forward to this project after his last venture, Naagzilla, featuring Kartik Aaryan. Sharvari is also gearing up for her role in YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led film, Alpha, which will release on Christmas this year alongside co-stars Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol.
Recently, Ayushmann Khurrana attended the first day of the FICCI Frames 2025 and announced his participation in Sooraj Barjatya’s next film. He described his current lineup, stating, “Thamma is my first big Diwali release. Then comes the Sooraj Barjatya film aimed at a wider audience. I’m also working on a Dharma film that will appeal to a broader range of viewers as well.”
