Union Minister Piyush Goyal Applauds Philanthropists for New Hospital in Dubai
Abu Dhabi, UAE – On September 20, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal praised Indian philanthropists for their initiative to establish a hospital for the Indian community in Dubai. This new facility, named the India-UAE Friendship Hospital, aims to provide affordable and high-quality healthcare to individuals from modest backgrounds.
During his visit, Minister Goyal emphasized the potential for India and the UAE to collaborate further in the healthcare sector. He stated, “India offers quality healthcare, and many people travel back home for treatment. The UAE government has always taken steps in this direction, and there’s a pressing need for better healthcare services here.”
The land for the hospital has already been allocated, he noted. “It’s great news that a group of philanthropists has secured land and are moving forward with the hospital project,” he added, mentioning that this initiative was announced in the Prime Minister’s Office last month. With the feasibility report completed, construction is expected to begin soon, sparking excitement among investors.
Minister Goyal concluded his visit to the UAE by attending the 13th meeting of the UAE-India High-Level Joint Task Force on Investments. He also met with Sharafuddin Sharaf, Vice-Chairman of the Sharaf Group, to explore more business opportunities between India and the UAE.
In a post on social media, Goyal shared, “I had the pleasure of meeting H.E. Major Gen. (Retd.) Sharafuddin Sharaf, and we discussed India’s growth across various sectors, looking for deeper business connections between our nations.”
