Rishabh Pant Supports Student’s Education in Karnataka
Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has taken a wonderful step to assist a student in Karnataka, offering support for her higher education. The talented wicketkeeper-batter, who has played for India in all cricket formats, directly funded the education of a student from a family facing financial challenges.
Jyoti Kanabur Math, hailing from Rabkavi village in the Bagalkot district, excelled in her studies by scoring 85% in her Pre-University Course (PUC). Despite her academic success, she was worried about whether she could afford to continue her education, especially after securing admission to the Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) program at the Bijapur Lingayat Education institution in Jamkhandi. Unfortunately, her father, Teerthayya, struggled to pay her college fees.
In search of help, the family turned to a local supporter, Anil, who reached out to his contacts in Bengaluru. Remarkably, this led to Rishabh Pant learning about Jyoti’s situation. Without hesitation, he paid the required amount of Rs 40,000 directly to the college, ensuring Jyoti could start her studies without any delay.
Touched by Rishabh’s generosity, Jyoti and the college expressed their heartfelt thanks in a letter. In her message, Jyoti shared her dreams and her desire to one day give back to others.
Here’s an excerpt from her letter:
“Hello everyone, I am Jyoti. My father’s name is Teertaiya and my mother’s name is Roopa. I live in Rabkavi village. I finished my SSLC in a school in Belagavi and my PUC from a college there.
I wanted to study BCA, but my family’s financial situation was tough. My parents reached out to Anil, who then got in touch with someone in Bengaluru. That person informed Rishabh Pant about my circumstances.
Thanks to Rishabh Pant, I received 40,000 to pursue my BCA. I am very grateful and pray for his good health. I also want to thank Anil Anna and Akshay Naik sir for their support.
My dream is to become a software engineer, and I will make the most of this opportunity. I want to promote the importance of educating girls and, once I become a software engineer, I plan to help underprivileged children, too.”
Recently, Rishabh Pant was named the vice-captain of India’s Test cricket team. He played in the England tour but had to step back due to an injury.
This act of kindness from Rishabh Pant not only changes lives but also inspires many to support education and uplift those in need.
