The Hundred 2025 Set to Kick Off in August
The Hundred 2025 is gearing up for an exciting tournament from August 5 to August 31. This season will feature eight city-based men’s teams: Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets, and Welsh Fire. The Oval Invincibles, last year’s champions, are back as the most successful team in the competition so far.
The teams boast some big names from international cricket. London Spirit has David Warner and Kane Williamson, while Welsh Fire includes stars like Steve Smith and Jonny Bairstow. Manchester Originals are bringing in Rachin Ravindra and Noor Ahmad, and Southern Brave adds Michael Bracewell to strengthen their bowling lineup. Other well-known players participating include Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan, Sam Curran, Faf du Plessis, and Joe Root.
Indian Players Missing
Unfortunately, Indian men’s players will not be joining the tournament due to restrictions from the BCCI on participating in overseas leagues outside of the IPL. On the women’s side, Deepti Sharma was originally retained by London Spirit but has stepped back to manage her workload. Other notable Indian talents, including Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh, were part of the previous season.

Match Timing Details
In the women’s matches, games will begin at 7:15 PM IST, 7:30 PM IST, and 4 PM IST, with the Eliminator and final scheduled for 6:45 PM IST. Men’s matches will start at 11:00 PM IST, 7:00 PM, 7:30 PM IST, and 10:30 PM IST.
