In a shocking and tragic turn of events, the political sphere of Maharashtra has been shaken to its core with the assassination of Baba Siddique, a prominent leader of the Nationalist Congress Party and a former minister. The gunfire erupted on the evening of Saturday, October 12, 2024, as Siddique fell victim to the fatal onslaught attributed to none other than Lawrence Bishnoi’s nefarious gang. The chilling declaration of responsibility sent ripples across both the political and entertainment worlds, magnified by a chilling post that circulated widely on social media.

The post, authored by a gang affiliate, suggested ominous ties between Siddique and heavyweight figures in both Bollywood and the underworld, specifically invoking the names of prominent personalities like Salman Khan and notorious crime lords such as Dawood Ibrahim and Anuj Thapan. The message echoed with sentiments of betrayal and vengeance: “Salman Khan, we did not desire this conflict, yet you have brought harm to our kin.”

In a twist of irony, the gang claimed their actions were not rooted in enmity, but rather a response to perceived wrongs, stating, “We have no quarrel with anyone; however, anyone aiding Salman Khan or the Dawood faction should brace for consequences.” This foreboding message carried an air of inevitability, asserting that if their “brothers” were harmed, retaliation would be swift and severe.

Compounding the tragedy, reports surfaced about two individuals linked to the notorious gang, now in police custody. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed their arrests, revealing that one shooter hailed from the bustling state of Uttar Pradesh while the other was from Haryana. Yet, shadows still linger with an accomplice remaining at large—a haunting reminder of the chaos that persists.

The attack unfolded near the office of Siddique’s son, Zeeshan, in the vibrant yet perilous locale of Bandra, Mumbai. Eyewitnesses reported a brazen assault, with Siddique hit multiple times—at least six shots were fired, four of which found their mark in his chest. Rushed to the hospital under dire circumstances, he could not escape the fateful grip of violence.

The aftermath of the assassination has seen a cloud of worry cast over Salman Khan, resulting in intensified security measures around his residence at Galaxy Apartment. Footage revealing an increased presence of personnel outside his home underscores the fear gripping the entertainment industry.

In an expression of solidarity amid the ensuing chaos, Salman Khan paid a somber visit to Lilavati Hospital, extending condolences to Siddique’s grieving family. Meanwhile, the state has recognized the gravity of this loss, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Shinde announcing that Baba Siddique would receive a state funeral, honored with full respect amidst this senseless tragedy.

As the investigation unfolds, one can only hope that justice prevails and that the interconnected realms of politics, crime, and entertainment can find a way to heal from this devastating blow.
