The recently unveiled trailer for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has taken the internet by storm, securing its place as the frontrunner for the most awaited film of the year. With a staggering 155 million views clocked within a mere 24 hours, it has shattered records, marking it as the highest-viewed trailer to date. As the buzz swells around this cinematic spectacle, tantalizing tidbits about the film have begun to emerge—most notably, the intriguing fact that even the cast is in the dark about its conclusion. Director Anees Bazmee has taken the unusual step of shooting not one, but two climactic endings.
In a captivating interview with India TV, Bazmee tantalized fans with his insights: “People will be shocked. They’ll be left saying ‘oh my god!’ We aimed to craft a magnificent film. To achieve this, we filmed two different climaxes, and the production team remains clueless as to which ending will make the final cut.”
The trailer teases the illustrious return of Kartik Aaryan as the enigmatic Rooh Baba. He is joined by the original Manjulika, the indomitable Vidya Balan, who offers an electrifying clash with Aaryan’s character. The ensemble also features Triptii Dimri, the legendary Madhuri Dixit, the comic Rajpal Yadav, and others, adding to the film’s allure. Bazmee revealed that the cast has only been privy to the narrative up until the pre-climactic moments. “Only myself and a handful of team members are aware of the true ending. We shot two climaxes entirely, unbeknownst to the crew regarding the purpose. Initially, we filmed the ultimate climax, but I later decided to reshoot, expressing, ‘It’s not fun, let’s do it again!’ The team assumed it was essential, yet it was merely to keep the actual ending under wraps,” he recounted.
In a clever attempt to cultivate an air of mystery, Bazmee withheld the last 15 pages of the script from the actors, intending not just to thrill the audience but to keep the performers on their toes. He also restricted access on set during the filming of both climaxes to a select few crew members.
Returning as Rooh Baba from the blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan is poised to weave magic once more alongside Triptii Dimri and the beloved Vidya Balan, whose partnership with Madhuri Dixit promises to set the screen ablaze. Helmed by Anees Bazmee and backed by Bhushan Kumar, this highly anticipated film is gearing up for a spectacular release this Diwali, on November 1, 2024.
