Rabat Celebrates 12th Graduation Ceremony of Rabat Business School

Rabat – The Rabat Business School (RBS) welcomed nearly 2,000 guests yesterday for its 12th graduation ceremony, honoring 700 graduates. Families, friends, faculty, and staff gathered at the University of Rabat (UIR) to celebrate this important milestone.

This year’s graduating class comprised both bachelor’s and master’s degree recipients, featuring two bachelor’s programs and eight master’s concentrations. Notably, it marked the first graduation of students from the new Master’s in Business Analytics.

The ceremony not only celebrated the graduates’ achievements but also recognized the community that played a vital role in their journey. Hasnae Tenouri, who coordinated the students’ final projects, expressed her joy in seeing their growth. “I’m really happy to have witnessed their development at RBS,” she shared. “We wish them all the best as they strive to achieve their goals.”

Noureddine Mouaddib, President of UIR, addressed the audience, discussing the university’s journey since its establishment in 2005 and the official opening in 2010, blessed by His Majesty Mohammed VI. He highlighted the university’s dedication to innovation, quality education, and making a positive social impact.

Mouaddib also pointed out the success of UIR graduates, stating that about 90% find jobs within a year of graduating, aligning with international standards.

Associate Dean Nacef Mouri discussed the school’s international approach: “Our programs are mainly taught in English, which is a challenge students face head-on. With faculty from 22 nations, RBS earned AACSB accreditation in 2020, a distinction held by only 5% of business schools worldwide.” He added that UIR is now pursuing EQUIS and AMBA accreditations to join an elite group of institutions.

RBS Dean Nicolas Arnaud emphasized the importance of these accreditations, noting that RBS was the first Moroccan business school to achieve AACSB accreditation. “We now aim for double accreditation with EQUIS to rank among the top 1% of business schools globally,” he stated.

Among the graduates, Youssuf Moudden, who emerged as the top student from the Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, expressed his gratitude for the opportunities at RBS. “The school put me in leadership positions like student ambassador and event organizer, which helped me discover my potential. I’m thankful for these opportunities and proud to reach this milestone,” he noted.

Since its inception, Rabat Business School has experienced considerable growth, with over 8,000 alumni to date. UIR also leads Africa in research and innovation, boasting the highest number of patent registrations, totaling 640 recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
