Tuchel’s Smart Choices for England’s Lineup
England’s coach, Thomas Tuchel, explained his decision to rest key players Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham as a logical choice. After a tough journey through the FIFA World Cup, which included a match against Norway that went into extra time and a challenging game against Mexico where the team played with just 10 players, Tuchel felt it was necessary to give some players a break.
“Our players have put in a lot of effort in each match,” Tuchel said. “They were ready to play again, but we decided it was best to save them for later in the game.”
Tuchel also reassured fans about Bukayo Saka, confirming he is fit to return to the starting lineup after missing the semi-final. Declan Rice will also start again as he continues to recover from an illness.
