The teaser for the highly anticipated film Eetha has just been released, offering fans a first look at Shraddha Kapoor in what seems to be a groundbreaking role for her career. Produced by Maddock Films and directed by Laxman Utekar, the film features Kapoor as the legendary Marathi Tamasha artist, Vithabai Narayangaonkar, and is set to hit theaters on August 28, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan celebrations.

The teaser, which has generated a lot of buzz since its theatrical debut with Cocktail 2 on June 19, is now available online due to overwhelming interest from audiences and social media activity.

Shraddha Kapoor’s Stunning Transformation

Clocking in at 2 minutes and 18 seconds, the teaser begins with an engaged crowd eagerly waiting for a performance by a dancer named Eetha. While it appears to follow a typical star introduction, the story quickly shifts focus.

Shraddha makes a surprising entrance, instantly capturing the essence of her character and the vibrant world she embodies. Known for her versatility, the actress has undergone considerable transformation to bring Vithabai Narayangaonkar to life, showcasing her skills as one of Maharashtra’s most renowned folk performers.

The teaser emphasizes her dynamic dance, powerful stage presence, and emotional depth, reflecting her dedication to capturing the essence of Tamasha and Lavani—signs of thorough preparation for this important role.

Building Excitement with Posters

Just a couple of hours before the teaser release, the team unveiled a series of posters featuring Shraddha in colorful traditional clothing. One standout image shows her in a bright yellow saree adorned with ghungroos, surrounded by cheerful supporters and glowing lanterns.

These visuals not only celebrate Vithabai Narayangaonkar’s enormous legacy but also provide a sneak peek into the colorful universe of Tamasha theatre, which the film aims to portray.

A Strong Filmmaking Team Reunites

Eetha brings together director Laxman Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan after their successful collaboration on Chhaava. The film also stars Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in key roles, with music by the talented Ajay-Atul.

The teaser suggests that the film will blend captivating visuals with a heartfelt story. Although details about the plot remain under wraps, glimpses of dramatic moments hint at an exploration of both the personal and professional life of this iconic performer.
