UBTech’s Walker C1 Robot Dazzles with Dance Performance

Last weekend, UBTech unveiled its humanoid robot, Walker C1, in a YouTube video celebrating its role as the exclusive humanoid robot partner for Chain Expo 2026. The robot captivated viewers by performing synchronized moves from the classic ballet “Swan Lake,” showcasing its impressive balance and lifelike actions.

Walker C1 combines advanced motion control and coordination, enabling it to dance seamlessly alongside human performers. UBTech described this event as a peek into the future of service robotics, where humanoid robots work and interact with us in perfect harmony. The company stated, “The future of service robotics has never looked so elegant.”

Based in Shenzhen, UBTech has not shared detailed specs for the Walker C1 yet. However, reports suggest it might be an upgrade of the Walker C model, which was designed for commercial use. The Walker C1, introduced last year, features UBTech’s U-SLAM positioning system for autonomous navigation and can walk at speeds up to 6 kilometers per hour. It also supports multiple languages, making it suitable for various public spaces, including exhibition halls, offices, and shopping centers.

The Walker C1 is designed to assist as a guide, receptionist, and smart assistant, ready to provide information and interact with visitors in environments like hotels and airports.

UBTech is emerging as a key player in the humanoid robotics industry, having shipped its first 1,000 robots last year. The company has ambitious plans to boost production to 10,000 robots this year. In recent partnerships, UBTech agreed to supply Walker S2 robots to Airbus and previously collaborated with Texas Instruments, reflecting its goal to expand humanoid robot applications in sectors such as aviation and consumer electronics.

China is rapidly becoming a center for humanoid robotics. By the end of 2025, there could be over 140 humanoid robot manufacturers in the country, according to a statement by Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Zhang Yunming.
