Excitement Builds for the Release of Drishyam 3
The much-anticipated Malayalam film, Drishyam 3, is set to hit theaters on May 21. Fans are eagerly waiting for the latest installment in this popular franchise, thanks to its star-studded cast and engaging storylines. Along with the original Malayalam version, the film will also be available dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has completed the censoring process, awarding the film a U/A 16+ rating without any cuts in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada versions. However, in the Telugu version, the board requested a muted version of the expletive “f**k” to be edited out.
The CBFC approved the original Malayalam version on May 11, followed by the dubbed versions on May 15. The film has a runtime of 159 minutes, or 2 hours and 39 minutes.
Starring Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and others, Drishyam 3 is directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor. The original Drishyam was released in 2013 and became the highest-grossing Malayalam film at the time. Its sequel, Drishyam 2, premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2021 due to the pandemic.
Advance ticket sales for Drishyam 3 started last week in Kerala, and the response has been very promising, indicating a strong opening weekend ahead.
Outside of Kerala and internationally, Drishyam 3 will be released by Panorama Studios, led by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. They also produced the Hindi versions featuring Ajay Devgn, with the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam 3 scheduled for release on October 2.
