Washington: Man Pleads Not Guilty to Charges of Attempting to Kill President Trump

A 31-year-old man, Cole Allen, has pleaded not guilty to charges related to an alleged assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump last month. The plea was entered in court on Monday by his lawyer, as Allen remained silent throughout the proceedings.

The charges against him are serious, including attempted assassination of the president, assaulting a federal officer, and various firearm offenses. Prosecutors claim that during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Allen fired a shotgun at a Secret Service agent while trying to breach a security checkpoint. This incident was part of a failed attempt to attack Trump and other officials in attendance.
