Raj Kundra Seeks Closure in Ongoing Legal Battle
Businessman Raj Kundra has made a new statement regarding his ongoing legal issues stemming from a 2021 case related to allegations of pornography. Recently, he announced that his lawyer, Prashant Patil, has finished presenting arguments in the lower court, marking a significant milestone in what Kundra called a lengthy process of four years.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kundra expressed his frustration over the delay and its impact on his life. He stated, “Four long years in the lower court in the ongoing pornography case. Today, my advocate Prashant Patil concluded our arguments. I stand by the truth; if I’m guilty, punish me. If not, grant me a discharge, my freedom, and the respect taken away by relentless media trials. Justice delayed is justice denied. #Justice.”
The case against Kundra began in July 2021 when he was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch, accused of creating and sharing pornographic content through mobile apps. Kundra has consistently maintained his innocence, arguing that the content in question did not meet the legal definition of pornography.
After spending nearly two months in custody, he was granted bail, and the hearings have continued since. In his recent comments, Kundra highlighted how prolonged legal battles can affect not just the accused but also their families and public perception. He expressed faith in the legal system and stated he is ready to accept whatever outcome the court decides.
Kundra has previously raised concerns about media narratives surrounding the case, especially those involving his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra. He has criticized the speculative coverage and urged for the matter to be treated as a legal issue rather than entertainment.
His latest statements reflect a desire for resolution, either through a guilty verdict or an acquittal, as he seeks closure from the case. The court will soon review the arguments presented and deliver further orders. As the case unfolds, it continues to garner public attention due to the profiles of those involved.
