Shah Rukh Khan has gracefully turned down an offer for a cameo in the upcoming film Jailer 2, featuring Rajinikanth. Currently, he is fully focused on his own project, King, which he considers very important, especially as it marks the big-screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan.
According to reports, the team behind Jailer 2 had initially approached Shah Rukh for a five-day cameo, and he was interested at first. However, he later decided to prioritize his work on King and requested that the timeline for Jailer 2 be adjusted to avoid any overlap. He aims to keep his on-screen appearance in King unique, as he has a special look that he wants to debut exclusively in that film.
With Jailer 2 rumored to release in August and King set for December 2026, both parties amicably agreed to part ways regarding the cameo. Despite declining the role, Shah Rukh Khan maintains a good relationship with Rajinikanth. He personally expressed his admiration for the veteran actor and mentioned that he’d be open to collaborating in the future, given the right circumstances.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King features Shah Rukh alongside Suhana, with other notable stars like Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan also involved in the film. Meanwhile, Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is reportedly in the final stages of production, and the creators are now considering other significant names for the cameo role initially offered to Shah Rukh Khan.
