Dhurandhar 2: A Box Office Sensation
The excitement surrounding Dhurandhar 2 is reaching new heights as it approaches its release. With just five days to go for the paid previews, ticket sales have skyrocketed, creating capacity challenges in major cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. Reports indicate that many locations are already sold out, reflecting a strong demand from eager moviegoers.
In Mumbai, around 50% of tickets have been sold, while Hyderabad and Bangalore are even more ahead, with 75% and 60% of tickets sold, respectively. Fans are urging cinemas to open advance bookings for the rest of the weekend, showcasing the film’s incredible popularity. This level of enthusiasm hasn’t been seen for a film in years; it’s reminiscent of the massive response to Baahubali 2 back in 2017.
The advance ticket sales are expected to be announced tomorrow morning, with paid previews facing limited availability. So far, Dhurandhar 2 has generated ticket sales worth about Rs. 27 crore, and projections suggest this figure could climb to Rs. 35 crore by release day. The paid previews alone might reach Rs. 40 crore, setting a new record as the previous high was held by Stree 2 at around Rs. 10 crore.
In terms of national multiplex sales, Dhurandhar 2 has already sold around 2.60 lakh tickets across the top three chains for the paid previews, and it aims for a total of 3.50 lakh tickets, which could establish a remarkable record. All eyes are now on how pre-sales will unfold for the full opening day and the weekend ahead.
As the audience eagerly anticipates, Dhurandhar 2 is poised to make a significant impact at the box office.
