Indian Community in UAE Reassured Amidst Recent Attacks
The Indian community in the UAE has received words of comfort from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who expressed his gratitude to UAE leaders for their ongoing support and protection of Indian expatriates.
In a recent post on social media, Modi shared his conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. He strongly condemned recent attacks on the country and expressed condolences for the lives lost. Modi reaffirmed India’s solidarity with the UAE during these challenging times, emphasizing the importance of regional peace and stability.
The UAE leadership has taken significant steps to ensure the safety of all its residents, regardless of their nationality. The UAE Ambassador highlighted a recent visit by Sheikh Mohamed to hospitals where he met civilians injured in the attacks, reinforcing the message that all residents are valued. “His Highness sat with an Indian national and said, ‘They are all our responsibility,’” the Ambassador noted, demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to the well-being of all communities.
For Indian families back home, the Ambassador offered reassurances. He directly addressed parents in Kerala and Gujarat, saying, “Your family in the UAE is not alone. They are safe, they are cared for, and they are considered family by the leadership of this country.”
He underscored that the UAE remains stable and committed to protecting everyone living there. “The UAE’s institutions are functioning, its economy is stable, and its dedication to the safety and dignity of every person is unwavering,” he added.
In these times of uncertainty, the collaboration and compassion shown by the UAE leadership serve as a reminder of the strong bond between India and the UAE.
