Kriti Kharbanda Warns Fans About Fake WhatsApp Account

Actor Kriti Kharbanda has recently raised awareness among her followers about a case of identity theft. She found that someone was pretending to be her on WhatsApp. Taking to Instagram, Kriti urged her fans to be careful and verify any messages that claim to be from her.

In her Instagram Stories, she shared a screenshot of the suspicious chat, stating clearly that the number does not belong to her. She emphasized, “Not ok. Not cool. Not my number. Pretending to be someone you’re not is a clear case of identity theft. Be warned.” This warning was meant to alert her followers that any communication from the fake number should be dismissed as fraudulent.

Kriti’s cautionary message comes at a time when impersonation and cyber fraud are becoming increasingly common, especially targeting celebrities. The goal is often to mislead fans or to trick them into giving away money and personal information. By addressing this issue quickly, Kriti hopes to protect her fans from potential scams.

Fans reacted quickly, expressing their gratitude for her alert and sharing their worries about the misuse of social media. Many of them called for stricter measures against online impersonation and better security on digital platforms.

While Kriti hasn’t confirmed if she has filed a formal complaint, her message highlights the importance of being vigilant online. Cyber experts recommend that users should verify their accounts, refrain from sharing personal or financial details, and report any suspicious activity to the platform involved.

Known for her roles in both Hindi and Kannada films, Kriti Kharbanda actively engages with her fans on social media. Her recent post underscores the need for digital awareness and responsible online behavior in today’s world of rising cyber threats.
