In an interesting update from the film industry, producers of Toxic have confirmed that the movie will release as planned in March 2026 during the Eid festivities. However, news has surfaced that Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will not meet its scheduled Eid release.
Sources indicate that Love and War is behind on its shooting schedule and will instead hit theaters after June 2026. It is reported that around 75 days of filming still needs to be completed. To expedite the process, Bhansali has requested the cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, to block out dates until Summer 2026.
This delay secures a clear path for Toxic, which is expected to attract audiences without any competition from Love and War. The latest updates reveal that the film is approximately 40 days behind schedule and it is anticipated that an official announcement regarding the new release date will come soon from Ranbir Kapoor and Bhansali.
Interestingly, this shift also avoids a potential clash between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, who is set to bring Toxic to audiences as planned. It’s worth noting that Toxic will be one of the few Indian films featuring scenes shot in both Kannada and English.
