Nigar Sultana Sees Women’s World Cup 2025 as Key for Bangladesh
Nigar Sultana believes that the Women’s World Cup 2025 is an important chance for Bangladesh to showcase their skills and attract big teams for future matches. The team recently celebrated their first victory in the tournament.
She stated, “For me, this is the biggest platform where we can display what we can do. Teams like England and Australia might take more notice of us after this. We have often mentioned that we don’t get to play enough international matches against stronger teams, which has been a setback. However, since getting included in the Future Tours Programme (FTP) in 2022, we’ve had many more series against top teams, both at home and away. This has given us essential experience. As we head into this World Cup, we feel well-prepared and confident. We’re also excited about the next FTP, where we’ll face Australia in Australia and England as well. Our team is developing, and we are eager to keep learning. This is a wonderful opportunity for us,” Sultana added.
