Rhea Chakraborty Reclaims Passport After Five-Year Wait

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has joyfully announced that she has received her passport back after nearly five years. This moment marks a significant milestone in her legal journey stemming from the high-profile case surrounding the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Taking to social media, Rhea shared her feelings in a heartfelt post. She wrote, “Patience was my only passport for the past 5 years. Countless battles. Endless hope. Today, I hold my passport again. Ready for my Chapter 2! Satyameva Jayate.” Her message quickly gained traction online, with fans and supporters flooding the comments with words of encouragement and celebration.

Rhea’s passport was taken from her in 2020 when her name was involved in investigations regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death. Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai home in June 2020, leading to extensive inquiries by various agencies, including the Mumbai Police, the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate, and the Narcotics Control Bureau.

At the time of Sushant’s passing, Rhea was in a relationship with him, which brought her under intense media scrutiny. She faced serious allegations, including abetment to suicide and involvement in drug-related activities. In September 2020, she was arrested by the NCB but was granted bail a month later by the Bombay High Court.

Since the ordeal, Rhea has kept a low profile, occasionally sharing inspirational messages on social media. In 2023, she made her return to television as a gang leader on MTV’s Roadies 19, hinting at a gradual re-entry into the entertainment scene.

With her passport now in hand, Rhea seems poised to embrace a new chapter in her life. Many view her post as a symbol of hope and resilience after navigating one of the most trying periods of her life.

Rhea, known for her roles in films like Jalebi, Mere Dad Ki Maruti, and Chehre, is currently in discussions for several upcoming projects, signaling that her professional comeback could be on the horizon.
