Ayushmann Khurrana, along with producer Dinesh Vijan from Maddock Films, director Aditya Sarpotdar, writer Niren Bhatt, and actress Shraddha Kapoor, attended the exciting trailer launch for the highly anticipated film Thamma. During the event, Shraddha shared an exciting update about a new project in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
She expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “This is my favorite part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. When Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan) told me about it, I said, ‘Your name should truly be Dinesh Vision!’”
Shraddha announced that the Maddock team is releasing Chhoti Stree as an animated film set to hit theatres soon. She described it as a fun movie for kids and families, emphasizing that it should entertain everyone.
“It’s an exciting time for India, and I’m thrilled to be part of this universe,” she added.
Dinesh Vijan provided more insights about the film, mentioning that Chhoti Stree aims to engage both children and adults. He revealed that the film will conclude with a scene from Stree 3, connecting the animated story to the live-action universe. This film will also explore the backstory of the character Stree, and it is expected to be released six months prior to Stree 3.
Another highlight of the event was the unveiling of the logo for the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Shraddha praised Vijan for broadening his vision after Stree, which led to successful films like Bhediya and Munjya, and now with Thamma on the horizon. “We’re excited for even more entertainment,” she said.
She emphasized the desire to create films that reflect Indian culture, showing appreciation for the audience’s support. “We are making something uniquely Indian. Let’s not focus on foreign universes anymore. We have our own desi horror comedy universe!” she exclaimed.
Thamma, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and is set to release this Diwali.
