Gill has faced scrutiny for his leadership, particularly following his heated moment with Zak Crawley during the Lord’s Test. Harbhajan urged fans to allow Gill to develop his own leadership style without comparing him to past Indian captains.
“Everyone has their own approach and style; Shubman can’t be another Ganguly or Dhoni. He needs to find his unique way of leading, and I believe he has what it takes. He will not only guide India well but also help elevate Indian cricket on the global stage,” Harbhajan concluded.
