Former DOGE Advisor Urges Tesla Board to Connect with Elon Musk for Immediate Clarity on…

Concerns Raised Over Elon Musk’s New Political Venture

James Fishback, a former advisor for Dogecoin and current Chair of Azoria Partners, has expressed strong concerns about Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s recent announcement to form a new political party called the “America Party.” This announcement followed a Twitter poll Musk conducted with his followers, and he stated that the party aims to “give you back your freedom.”

In an open letter addressed to Tesla’s Board of Directors, Fishback urged board members to meet with Musk for clarification on his political aspirations. He emphasized that these ambitions may conflict with his role as Tesla’s CEO, stating, “I encourage the Board to ask Elon to clarify his political ambitions and assess whether they align with his obligations to Tesla.”

Fishback noted that Musk’s announcement has shaken shareholders’ confidence in Tesla’s future. He highlighted that Musk had previously stepped back from his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in May to focus on Tesla, which had reassured investors. In light of Musk’s political announcement, Fishback’s investment firm has delayed the listing of its Tesla-related exchange-traded fund (ETF), indicating that it sees a potential conflict between Musk’s political goals and his responsibilities at the company.

James Fishback Expresses Concern

In his letter, Fishback remarked, “Elon has gone too far,” indicating his frustration. He explained that the decision to move forward with a political party detracts attention from the important work at Tesla and poses a risk to the company’s future at a crucial juncture. He also contrasted Musk’s political moves with his work at SpaceX and xAI, which he believes support Tesla’s mission.

Fishback concluded his letter with a hopeful note, wishing for Musk to refocus on Tesla, while also trusting that the Board would take necessary actions if he does not.

Voices from the Government

Adding to the growing concerns, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stressed that Musk should concentrate on his companies rather than political ventures. He remarked that the boards of Musk’s companies likely prefer him to focus on business, as his leadership is unmatched in those domains. Bessent also hinted that the political ambitions might not align with the interests of those companies.

As the situation unfolds, all eyes are on Musk and how his decisions may affect Tesla and its shareholders in the future.
