WWE Night of Champions Recap: Cena Retains Title with Rollins’ Help
In an exciting showdown on Saturday, June 28, John Cena retained his WWE Championship at the Night of Champions event, thanks to unexpected assistance from Seth Rollins. The evening also featured the crowning of the new King and Queen of the Ring, along with Solo Sikoa becoming the new United States Champion.
The main event showcased an intense title match between Cena and CM Punk, reviving their ongoing rivalry. This match was highlighted as Cena’s final appearance as a WWE Superstar in Riyadh, and the audience was electric, as both competitors delivered thrilling performances from the outset.

Ultimately, Rollins returned to knock out Punk with the Money in the Bank briefcase, allowing Cena to capitalize and secure the pinfall victory.

The evening kicked off with Cody Rhodes facing Randy Orton in the King of the Ring final. Their storied history added an extra layer of intrigue to the match. Both superstars exchanged blows, but an early superplex left Orton favoring his back, which Rhodes exploited.
