Kiara Advani May Star as Meena Kumari in Upcoming Biopic
Tajdar Amrohi, son of famed director Kamal Amrohi, recently revealed that Kiara Advani is a strong candidate to portray his mother, the legendary actress Meena Kumari, in an authorized biopic titled Kamal Aur Meena. While no official signing has taken place yet, Tajdar expressed optimism about Kiara’s involvement in the project.
The film’s director, Siddharth P Malhotra, echoed this sentiment, stating that Kiara is under consideration for the role. However, he plans to finalize the casting decisions in August. "Currently, I’m heading to the USA for a month. Finding the right actor for Kamal Amrohi is more challenging, and once I do, I’ll finalize Meena Kumari’s role," he explained.
Malhotra described Kamal Aur Meena as a unique love story, likening the dynamic between Amrohi and Kumari to a modern-day Romeo and Juliet. He aims to capture the depth of their relationship as one of Bollywood’s most iconic director-actor pairs.
