Excitement Builds for Housefull 5: Censor Updates Revealed
The highly anticipated comedy film Housefull 5 is set to hit theaters in just a week, generating a lot of buzz among fans. The film has recently completed its censorship process, which included some mandated changes.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted Housefull 5 a U/A 16+ certificate, but not without requiring some edits. Notably, the phrase "nikal dungi" was altered, and another dialogue starting with "apne" also underwent modifications. Additionally, the words "item" and "haram" were substituted with more appropriate terms, and one dialogue was removed altogether.
In terms of visuals, the film experienced three cuts: a champagne scene was shortened, two hand gesture scenes were adjusted, and a segment with sensual content was trimmed by two seconds. In total, 11 seconds of footage was censored.
After these changes, Housefull 5 received its censor certificate on May 28, confirming its run time of 165.48 minutes—roughly 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Interestingly, the film features two different versions for cinemas, marked as Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, yet both share the same total run time.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek A. Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others, Housefull 5 is written and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Tushar Hiranandani. The film is scheduled to premiere on June 6.
