Originally set for March 2026, the film’s shooting has been delayed due to budget clearance issues. Sources suggest that the new target release date for this action-packed romantic drama is now planned for Independence Day 2026.
According to industry insiders, the three-month delay in the filming has pushed back the release by the same amount of time. With the previous Eid 2026 slot now ruled out, the team views the Independence Day weekend as a fitting choice that aligns with the film’s themes.
The star-studded cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, making it one of the most eagerly awaited movies in Indian cinema. The final decision on the release date will be made shortly, but the focus remains on the Independence Day weekend.
As the film moves into the latter half of 2026, it will arrive before the highly anticipated Ramayana set for Diwali.
