Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, has spoken out against Bollywood star Salman Khan for his conduct while hosting Bigg Boss 18 last year. Grover expressed his frustration during a discussion with students at NIT Kurukshetra, describing how Khan seemed to pick on him unnecessarily, accusing him of stirring up drama.
Grover’s strong feelings stem from a tense exchange he had with Khan on the popular reality show. The clash occurred when Khan confronted Grover about some previous comments he had made, including a claim that he was not allowed to take a picture with Khan. Responding to this, Grover has now suggested that Khan’s actions were more about theatrics than anything else.
He remarked, “Why did he call me if he didn’t even know my name? He created drama just to make things interesting.” Grover criticized Khan for acting out on the show, suggesting that it was all staged for added entertainment value. “I went there calmly, but it felt like I was suddenly drawn into a show,” he added.
Their conflict appears to have roots that go back to 2023, when Grover first mentioned the photo incident in a podcast. During his appearance on Bigg Boss, Khan dismissed Grover’s claims, saying that giving someone the wrong impression is not acceptable. He also noted that he had only learned of Grover’s participation in the show moments before going on air, implying that there was no prior camaraderie between them.
Amidst this public feud, Grover is also entering the reality TV space as the host of a new show called “Rise and Fall” on Amazon MX Player. This show will explore themes of power and social dynamics, showcasing contestants categorized as “Rulers” and “Workers,” while addressing the issue of double standards.
This ongoing drama between Grover and Khan has certainly attracted attention, adding another layer of intrigue to the world of reality television.
