Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has recently wrapped up production on his new film, The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter. This highly anticipated project has already generated excitement ahead of its release. Set to launch on January 26, 2025, which is also Republic Day, the film aims to spark conversations about India’s history and societal issues.
In a captivating video shared by Agnihotri, actor Mithun Chakraborty can be seen delivering lines from the Constitution of India, creating a striking visual against a haunting corridor backdrop. The powerful imagery and content indicate that the film will be thought-provoking, continuing the themes explored in Agnihotri’s earlier works, The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files.
To celebrate the completion of filming, Agnihotri posted a joyful video on social media showcasing the crew’s wrap-up party. He expressed his excitement with the caption, "And… it’s a WRAP! #TheDelhiFiles – Bengal chapter. Releasing Independence Day 2025."
The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter will be directed by Agnihotri, with production by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi, and presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal under the banner of I Am Buddha Productions. Audiences can look forward to seeing the film in theaters on August 15, 2025.
