In a recent update, it was reported that the highly anticipated film Sky Force, featuring Akshay Kumar, has been confirmed to have a runtime of 125 minutes. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has completed its review of the film and granted it a U/A 13+ rating without any cuts.
Typically known for asking filmmakers to remove certain scenes or dialogues, the CBFC surprised many by allowing Sky Force to maintain all its original footage. According to sources, “There are no cuts at all. Every action scene remains intact, and the committee didn’t request any dialogue to be muted or removed, which is quite unusual.”
The only suggestion from the CBFC was to include anti-smoking and anti-liquor messages in Hindi, which was promptly addressed. This film marks a new threshold in film ratings as the U/A 13+ was recently introduced, alongside other ratings such as UA 16+ and UA 7+.
The official censor certificate for Sky Force was issued to the production team on January 16. Moviegoers can look forward to its release in theaters on January 24. Along with Akshay Kumar, the cast includes Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and debutant Veer Pahariya. The film is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films with Jyoti Deshpande, Dinesh Vijan, and Amar Kaushik behind its production. The direction comes from newcomers Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur.
In an interesting note, the trailer for another upcoming film, Chhava, will be shown alongside Sky Force in theaters. Chhava, set to premiere on February 14, features Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, with a trailer launch event scheduled for January 22 at the Plaza theatre in Mumbai.
As anticipation builds for both films, fans are eager to see what they have in store for audiences in the coming weeks.
