At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Komatsu, a company making its debut at the event, is showcasing its commitment to advanced technology and innovative product design. Among their highlights are concepts for a lunar construction excavator and an underwater construction robot.

Taisuke Kusaba, the Chief Technology Officer and President of the Development Division at Komatsu Ltd., shared insight into their mission. He noted that the core industries they serve, such as construction and mining, present many challenging applications. These challenges inspire their engineers and designers to find creative and pioneering solutions that meet customer needs.

“CES is a great platform for global innovators, allowing us to present our cutting-edge concepts and the significant innovations we are working on,” Kusaba added.

The company, which has been around for over a century, is displaying its first-ever physical prototypes of lunar construction equipment and futuristic underwater construction machines. This marks a significant milestone for Komatsu.

By focusing on innovation that spans beyond traditional industry limits, Komatsu aims to attract new and diverse talent. With operations in 150 countries, the company offers future professionals a chance to make a significant impact in essential sectors like construction, mining, and forestry.

Hiroyuki Ogawa, the President and CEO of Komatsu Ltd., emphasized the importance of attracting young talent, stating, “We have exciting opportunities in automation and connected products, yet many young people are unaware of how they can contribute to modern advancements in our industries.” He expressed anticipation for sharing their innovative equipment and technologies with attendees from around the world at CES 2025.

Visitors can see Komatsu’s groundbreaking solutions at Booth 5316 in West Hall until the event concludes on January 10.
